New Russian fighter with forward swept wings. The first prototype flew on September 25, 1997. The S-37 fighter is intended to be more than just a technology demonstrator, as OKB Sukhoi is pushing this aircraft to become Russia's fifth generation fighter. There are only few planes with forward swept wings in the world.

A reader contributed that "the Su-37 has been decided against, as it has no development potential."
