A reader pointed out that "the Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow was cancelled because of several crashes, and severely weak landing gear, and the F-101 Voo Doo."

Another reader replied "Whoever pointed out that the arrow was cancelled due to crashes, weak landing gear and the VooDoo has not read anything on it. It was cancelled due to poor Govt decisions on Mr Deifenbakers part and a lot of back door pressure from the US Govt., Much like the cancelling of the EH 101 project today, it was a setback of monumental proportions for the Canadian military and defence industry."
